The Dunes - Cape Hatteras, NC

Although there are a lot of realistic elements in my prints, I don't consider myself a realist painter. Abstractions, the movement of lines, and the texture of the painted surface are all very important themes to me. In this print, the undulating shape of the grass focuses on those themes. Dunes always change. Natural elements constantly reshape The Outer Banks. Because of this, I didn't want the print to feel completely frozen in time.
