This is one of my favorite paintings. With most of my work, I try to capture a little bit of myself, and the thoughts that were going around in my head at the time. Here, the sky seems to explode from the yet unseen setting sun. For me, there is a strong connection between the motion of the clouds, and the movement of the trees. Also, in a darker room, the strong contrast makes this painting really stands out.
